CHITRAL, Aug 20: On the directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Maj-Gen Mohammad Saeed Aleem visited the flood-hit villages of Reshun and Bumburate on Tuesday.
He was accompanied by the officials of PDMA, commissioner Malakand Division, DC Chitral. He distributed cash compensation among the affected people in both the villages.
Gen Aleem addressed the affected people in both the villages and assured them of all-out support of the government for the rehabilitation of the infrastructure and the homes devastated by the flash flood as a result of torrential rains.
He said that the prime minister had directed him to rush to the flash affected Chitral so that the federal government could give a comprehensive relief and rehabilitation package to mitigate the sufferings of the people.–Zahiruddin]]>
