    Mr. Afzal,
Poverty, Orghoch, Boroghul, Nooristan, Samarkand etc are not the eligibility criteria for any post or whatsoever. If you think it is, then I am the most suitable candidate because I am the most poor student from Chitral!

@Juanid Saleh Hayat: It seems you took it a bit personal but make sure my dear there was nothing like that in my comment. This also shows that Junaid Saleh Hayat was so keen to be a member of the youth parliament. Secondly, it also creates doubts that the selection process was not free, fair and transparent. The pick and choose system, which has long been the hallmark of our country, must have dominated in selection of the youth in this particular case as well. Why it is Junaid Saleh Hayat and not any poor youth from Kalash, Orgoch, Boroghil, Yrakhun, Torkhow or any other backward area? Junaid was perhaps picked because he is from the royal family of Chitral.

Thanks everyone for all your kinds words and wishes! And Mr. Afzal, the youth of Chitral don’t want to waste their time replying to your useless criticism and satire! All your words fall on deaf ears, please don’t waste your and our time! Stay happy!

Well, good news indeed for the kids below 16. Some termed it new year gift for Chitralis, while others called it a victory for the inhabitants of the area and what not. In fact the youth parliament is nothing but a gossip club, where these young guys will go and spend some time at the expense of the taxpayers money. The National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan have failed to deliver, what this so-called youth parliament can do. The parliament of our elected representatives has been turned into a “debating club”. It has failed to deliver from all fronts. The unanimous resolutions passed by both upper and lower houses of the parliament were never implemented. The house has become a graveyard of resolutions. So the youth parliament, a brainchild of the then military dictator Gen Musharraf to befool people, is no different than a gymnasium.
