Three Chitralis take oath as National Youth Assembly members
ISLAMABAD, Jan 2: The oath-taking ceremony of National Youth Assembly Pakistan Gilgit-Baltistan chapter was held at Gilgit Baltistan House Islamabad on January 1, Where Governer Gilgit-Baltistan Pir Karam Ali Shah administered oath to the new members of the youth body.

Speaking with the Chitrali youth members after taking oath, the GB Governer expressed his hap0piness over their selection and congratulated them.
The National Youth Assembly Pakistan is a model parliament for talented young Pakistani from diverse backgrounds, collaborating one another to imagine what they would do if they were the members of the parliament. The NYA is one of the leading, self-dependent forums of the country, which has brought together future leaders from more than 120 Districts of the country and also provides the opportunity to learn about politics, democracy, social work and parliamentary system in a best learning environment. Every member of the NYA has the chance to write model legislation, add input during meetings, or participate in youth-related activities.
Mr. Afzal,
Poverty, Orghoch, Boroghul, Nooristan, Samarkand etc are not the eligibility criteria for any post or whatsoever. If you think it is, then I am the most suitable candidate because I am the most poor student from Chitral!
@Juanid Saleh Hayat: It seems you took it a bit personal but make sure my dear there was nothing like that in my comment. This also shows that Junaid Saleh Hayat was so keen to be a member of the youth parliament. Secondly, it also creates doubts that the selection process was not free, fair and transparent. The pick and choose system, which has long been the hallmark of our country, must have dominated in selection of the youth in this particular case as well. Why it is Junaid Saleh Hayat and not any poor youth from Kalash, Orgoch, Boroghil, Yrakhun, Torkhow or any other backward area? Junaid was perhaps picked because he is from the royal family of Chitral.
Thanks everyone for all your kinds words and wishes! And Mr. Afzal, the youth of Chitral don’t want to waste their time replying to your useless criticism and satire! All your words fall on deaf ears, please don’t waste your and our time! Stay happy!
Well, good news indeed for the kids below 16. Some termed it new year gift for Chitralis, while others called it a victory for the inhabitants of the area and what not. In fact the youth parliament is nothing but a gossip club, where these young guys will go and spend some time at the expense of the taxpayers money. The National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan have failed to deliver, what this so-called youth parliament can do. The parliament of our elected representatives has been turned into a “debating club”. It has failed to deliver from all fronts. The unanimous resolutions passed by both upper and lower houses of the parliament were never implemented. The house has become a graveyard of resolutions. So the youth parliament, a brainchild of the then military dictator Gen Musharraf to befool people, is no different than a gymnasium.
Junaid Salah Hayat, Congrats for the great achievment…Best of luck
Actually there is another Chitrali who has also been administered the oath as member of the youth assembly, you are missing his name here. He belongs to Chitral and his name is Gohar Ali. He is currently living in Islamabad.
