Over 850 teachers promoted

CHITRAL, Dec 17: At least 855 primary schoolteachers were promoted to the basic pay scale (BPS) of 14 and 15 by the departmental promotion committee Chitral.

The promotion of the teachers – 595 males and 260 females – was approved at a meeting of the committee chaired by Minhajuddin, the deputy district officer (revenue and estate) on behalf of the district coordination officer (DCO) who is the chairman of the committee.

Siraj Mohammad Khan, the EDO education, and other officials were also present. The president of All primary Teachers Association (APTA) thanked the provincial government for fulfilling the demand of the teachers.—GH Farooqui
