Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif distributed trophies and awards among the wining and runner-up teams. Shahzada Sikendarul Mulk, the captain of the Chitral team, received the trophy from the COAS. Speaking o the occasion, the army chief highly appreciated the valour of the polo players. He said he was proud of attending the festival among the people of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan. The way in which the people of the two areas participate in the festival showed their vigour and valour, he added. The army chief said that the Shandur festival was not only attracting a large number of national and foreign tourists but also sends out a clear message to terrorists that we are a united and brave nation to face and eliminate them.
