Martyrs’ Memorial Inaugurated on Police Martyrs’ Day in Chitral

CHITRAL: A Martyrs’ Memorial was inaugurated at Chitral’s Central Chowk on Police Martyrs’ Day to honour police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

The memorial was jointly inaugurated by Commandant Chitral Scouts Arsalan Abdul Majeed, Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral Rao Hashim Azim and District Police Officer Resham Jahangir.

The inauguration followed a solemn rally organized under the supervision of DPO Resham Jahangir, which began at the Government College of Commerce and Management Sciences and ended at Central Chowk.

The rally was attended by police officers and personnel, families of martyrs, members of the Chitral Press Club, students, civil society representatives and people from different walks of life.

Participants carried national flags and banners as they paid tribute to the sacrifices of police martyrs and reaffirmed that their services and sacrifices would never be forgotten.

At the memorial, officials and participants viewed photographs and commemorative displays dedicated to the fallen police personnel and paid rich tribute to their courage and dedication.

Speakers said the sacrifices of police martyrs are a priceless national legacy and stressed that preserving their memory is a collective responsibility.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to protecting citizens, upholding the rule of law and maintaining peace and public order with dedication and professionalism.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the departed souls of the martyrs, the security and stability of Pakistan, and lasting peace in the country.
