Police martyrs remembered on national day
CHITRAL: Like other parts of the country, police martyr day was observed in Chitral to pay tributes to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
The day at the police lines started with recitation from the holy Quran for the fallen comrades and later District Police Officer (DPO) Furqan Bilal and District Nazim Maghfirat Shah laid wreaths on Yadgar-e-Shuhada on the premises and offered fateha for the martyrs.
The DPO on the occasion assured the families of the martyrs that they would not be left alone and would be provided all possible assistance. He paid tributes to all those Chitrali police officials who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty in different parts of the province.
Gifts were also distributed among families of the martyrs on the occasion. –Nazir Hussain
