Lakki Marwat, May 12, 2026: At least seven people, including police personnel, were killed and more than 18 others injured in an explosion in the Sarai Naurang Bazar area of Lakki Marwat.
According to police, the blast occurred near the Naurang police station inside a rickshaw, causing panic in the busy market area. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Naurang Hospital.

Hospital administration confirmed that two traffic police personnel were among those killed in the incident. Several of the injured include women and children, and they are being treated in emergency wards as the hospital has declared an emergency situation.
Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene immediately after the explosion, cordoning off the area and launching an investigation into the nature of the blast.
The incident occured a day after a suicide attack on a checkpost left at least 15 police personnel dead in Bannu.
Clash Over Road Dispute
Meanwhile, deven people were also killed in a firing incident in the Mia Isa area of Nowshera district after a dispute over a passage escalated into armed violence between two groups.
According to police, the incident occurred when a disagreement over a shared access route outside a house turned into an exchange of gunfire between the two parties.
Authorities said that three of the deceased belonged to one group, while four were from the opposing side.
