CHITRAL, Jan 7, 2026: Lower Chitral Police have arrested a woman after recovering drugs from her possession in the Chitral town.
According to a police spokesman, a team led by SDPO Chitral Circle and SHO City Police Station conducted a house search as part of ongoing operations against drug trafficking.
During the operation, a woman identified as Islam Bibi was arrested after recovery of 545 grams of opium from her possession. The suspect is a resident of Garam Chashma and is currently living near the Sabzi Mandi area of Chitral town.
A case has been registered against the woman at the City Police Station Chitral under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is in progress.
Police said targeted operations against drug peddlers will continue to eliminate the menace of narcotics from the district.
