CHITRAL: A two-day religious gathering began at the historic Polo Ground in Chitral on Sunday, September 20, with the concluding prayer scheduled for the morning of September 22.
Thousands of people from different parts of the country are taking part in the congregation.
The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Chitral has made arrangements to provide essential facilities to participants and maintain hygiene throughout the gathering.
On the special directives of TMO Haider Ayub Khan, TMA staff are continuously supplying clean drinking water to the gathering venue, Polo Ground and surrounding areas of Markaz Mosque through water tankers.
In addition, extensive mosquito-control spraying has been carried out at the gathering site and adjoining areas to protect participants from mosquitoes, malaria and other seasonal diseases.
According to the TMA administration, water supply, sanitation and other preventive measures will continue without interruption until the gathering concludes.
Officials said the arrangements are aimed at ensuring that visitors and participants face no difficulties during the event.
