Wildlife Department Cracks Down on Illegal Falcon Trapping in Booni

BOONI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife Department has intensified its crackdown on illegal falcon trapping, with a raid in Booni resulting in the recovery of a Laggar Falcon, pigeons, a motorcycle and several hunting nets.
Sub-Divisional Wildlife Officer Booni Ahtisham Ul Haq, accompanied by field staff, conducted the raid against illegal falcon trappers and took the recovered items into custody.
A challan was issued against the alleged offenders, who were subsequently produced before a magistrate for legal proceedings.
After hearing the case, the magistrate ordered the detention of the offenders in jail in accordance with the law.
The Wildlife Department said strict and stringent action against illegal falcon trapping would continue across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as part of efforts to protect wildlife and curb unlawful hunting activities.
