Chitral, June 25, 2026: Lower Chitral Police and Traffic Wardens have launched a special crackdown against traffic law violations across the district.
During the operation, police teams took action against motorcyclists riding without helmets, drivers operating vehicles without valid driving licences, and individuals using motorcycles without the required registration and legal documents.
Numerous violators were fined and issued challans under the relevant traffic laws.
Special attention was also given to underage motorcyclists. Motorcycles being operated by minors were confiscated and impounded at local police stations.
In several cases, parents and guardians were summoned, warned, and subjected to legal proceedings in accordance with the law.
The police stated that the campaign is aimed at improving road safety, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and preventing avoidable accidents.
Lower Chitral Police emphasized that such enforcement operations will continue in the future and that no leniency will be shown toward individuals found violating traffic laws.
The department has once again appealed to parents, teachers, and the general public to discourage underage children from riding motorcycles and to promote adherence to traffic regulations.
Officials stressed that public cooperation is essential to preventing road accidents and protecting valuable human lives.
