Peshawar April 23, 2026: The Khyber Pakthunkhwa government has announced that the Shandur Festival 2026 will be held from June 11 to June 13.
The announcement was made following a meeting on the annual mega festival arrangements here today.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Suriya Bibi and the secretary tourism, while Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral Muhammad Imran Khan participated via video link.
During the session, detailed discussions were held on security arrangements, traffic management, tourist facilitation and overall event planning.
Officials told the meeting that the festival should be organized in a well-managed and dignified manner to promote local culture and provide better facilities for both domestic and international tourists.
It was also decided that a final coordination meeting will soon be held at Shandur with all relevant stakeholders, including administrative officials and security agencies, to finalize preparations for the event.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to making Shandur Festival 2026 a safe, well-organized, and culturally vibrant event.
