Chitral, April 7, 2026: As heavy rains continued, the district t administrations of Lower and Upper Chitral, in coordination with other relevant departments, have launched extensive operations to keep the roads open.
Residents have been asked to avoid unnecessary journeys during adverse weather conditions. Teams are actively working to remove landslide debris and flood-related obstructions to ensure safe and smooth transit across the region.
The administration has assured the public that relief efforts will continue until all affected areas are fully accessible and safe.
Rescue 1122 stated that following the recent rains, the risk of landslides and flash floods had increased in hilly areas. It also advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from streams and riverbanks.
