Red Crescent Society Team Arrives to Help Arandu IDPs

Chitral, March 9, 2026: A team from the Red Crescent Society of Pakistan (KP) has arrived in Chitral to provide emergency assistance to displaced families of Arandu due to the recent tensions at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The relief efforts were carried out under the special directives of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and Chairman Red Crescent P. Farzand Ali Wazir. Provincial Secretary Red Crescent Abid Rehman Marwat distributed relief supplies to 300 families in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Khalil Rehman. The distributed items included food supplies included rice, lentils, sugar, tea and dates. Other essentials were complete kitchen kits.

District administration officials and the local residents expressed gratitude for the timely relief efforts, praising the Red Crescent team and the governor for their humanitarian commitment.
