Chitral, Jan 25, 2026: A massive fire broke out late last night at a well-known furniture showroom and factory in Jughore, causing severe damage.
The inferno destroyed valuable furniture and machinery worth millions of rupees. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
The affected businessman, Mohammad Dawood, expressed his grief and sorrow as he watched his life’s work turn to ashes. Having dedicated the last 30 years to the furniture business, Dawood’s dream was reduced to rubble in a matter of hours.
“The fire spread so rapidly that it engulfed the entire showroom and factory. Not only was the finished furniture destroyed, but my expensive machinery also went up in flames,” said Dawood, his voice filled with distress.
“This business was the only source of income for my family. My lifetime savings are now gone in the blink of an eye,” he added.
Dawood along with local residents has appealed to the government and concerned authorities to provide compensation for the heavy financial losses suffered and offer financial assistance to help the affected family restart their livelihood.
Mr.Dawood as an affectee desperately seeking compensation after a devastating fire loss,but schockingly ,neither the admanistration nor our elected repesentatives have reached out or visited him.
