PESHAWAR, Nov 25, 2025: Shahzada Khalid Parvez, a well-known political leader from Chitral, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday. The meeting focused on the challenges faced by the people of Chitral as well as the organizational affairs of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the valley.
Shahzada Parvez informed the governor about the major public issues confronting Chitral, including shortage of basic facilities, difficulties in communication and transportation links, gaps in healthcare and education, and the hardships caused by severe weather and seasonal blockages in mountainous areas. He emphasized the need for effective government action to resolve these persistent problems and improve the living conditions of the local population.
Governor Kundi assured him that giving special attention to the province’s remote and underdeveloped districts is among his top priorities. He noted that the people of Chitral are hardworking, capable and deeply committed to progress, and pledged that all possible steps will be taken to support their welfare and development.
The two leaders also discussed matters related to PPP’s local organizational structure. Governor Kundi stated that strengthening the party requires consistent consultation, communication, and coordination at every tier. He added that Chitral remains a vital region for the PPP, recalling that the area has historically extended strong support to the Bhutto family. He said the people of Chitral continue to place full confidence in the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Shahzada Parvez expressed gratitude to the governor for his keen interest, positive response and assurance of cooperation.
