CHITRAL, Nov 11, 2025: A tragic road accident occurred in front of the Government Degree College for Boys Chitral on Monday, claiming the life of a young student.
According to initial reports, the accident took place when a recklessly driven car while avoiding a bus hit a motorcyclist and a pedestrian from the front near the college gate.
The pedestrian was later identified as Taimur, a BS political science student from Morder Upper Chitral. He died on the spot.
Eyewitnesses said the motorcycle was being ridden by an elderly man, who was admitted to the DHQ hospital. Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and have launched an investigation into the cause of the collision.
The sudden death of the student has cast a pall of grief over the college and the local community, with teachers, students and residents expressing deep sorrow over the loss of a promising young life.
So far, the errant car driver has not been identified for legal action.
