Chitral, November 3, 2025: On the directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Communications Aleem Khan will visit Chitral on Tuesday to review progress on ongoing road projects.
The visit follows the Prime Minister’s trip to Chitral on October 31, during which local residents raised concerns over the incomplete road projects. In response, the Prime Minister instructed the communications ministry and relevant authorities to inspect all road development projects and submit a detailed report to him.
Accompanying the minister will be Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission Brigadier (R) Muzafar Ali Ranjha and Chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA) Muhammad Shehryar Sultan.
The delegation is expected to arrive in Chitral by helicopter, while other senior officials have already left for the area by road to finalize arrangements for the visit.
Officials say the upcoming meeting in Chitral will focus on improving road connectivity and infrastructure across the mountainous district, a key priority under the government’s northern development agenda.
