Levies Personnel Highlight Service Issues at Darbar

BOONI, Upper Chitral: A Levies Darbar was held at the District Headquarters Upper Chitral chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Commandant Levies Muhammad Imran Khan.

The gathering provided a platform for Levies personnel to directly communicate their challenges and concerns to the district administration.

During the Darbar, Levies officials raised several pressing issues, including delayed service benefits, lack of modern equipment, shortage of resources and limited training opportunities. They emphasized the need for improved welfare measures to boost morale and operational efficiency.

Addressing the force, the DC/commandant commended the Levies as one of Pakistan’s most dedicated and disciplined forces, acknowledging their critical role in maintaining peace and security across the rugged terrain of Upper Chitral.

He termed the concerns presented as genuine and deserving of immediate attention, assuring the personnel that practical steps would be taken to address them.

The commandant also issued on-the-spot directives to resolve several matters and pledged to raise remaining issues with higher authorities at the provincial level.

He praised the bravery and sacrifices of Levies personnel during an operation in Laspur against infiltration of alleged terrorists, noting that their courage reflected the true spirit of service and patriotism.

In recognition of exemplary performance, certificates of appreciation were distributed among distinguished members of the force.
