SUKKUR: Pakistan has achieved a new milestone in sports. The Lok Suhita Marathon in Sukkur is now officially certified by World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
The certified course starts in Sukkur, reaches Khairpur, and loops back. Lok Suhita is now the second marathon in Pakistan to gain global recognition, after the Karachi Marathon.
The event includes three race categories: a full marathon, a half marathon, and a 10-kilometer run. All meet international standards for distance and quality.
Organizers hope this will attract top local and international runners. They also aim to promote long-distance running and highlight Sukkur on the global marathon map.
