BOONI: Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral, in collaboration with the PPAF organization, conducted a comprehensive first aid and emergency response training session for the local community in Laspur’s Balim village.
The training aimed to equip residents with essential skills to provide initial medical assistance and safely evacuate victims during emergencies such as accidents, fires, or natural disasters.
Under the supervision of Station House Incharge Amjad Hussain and the leadership of District Emergency Officer Zafaruddin, Rescue 1122’s training wing delivered informative lectures and conducted practical demonstrations. Topics covered included first aid procedures, safe victim evacuation techniques, and safety measures in case of fire.
To maximize community participation, PPAF formed teams at the local village council level, consisting of community members selected for the training.
This initiative gains added significance in light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
Recent events have seen both nations engaging in reciprocal missile and drone strikes, marking one of the most severe confrontations in decades.
In this context, the training provided by Rescue 1122 not only prepares the local community for natural and accidental emergencies but also enhances their readiness to respond effectively in the face of potential conflict-related incidents.
Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral said it remains committed to offering timely and effective emergency services to the public 24/7. In case of any emergency, citizens are advised to call the toll-free number 1122.
