Stranded Japanese tourist treated as police guest

CHITRAL: A Japanese woman tourist on way to the scenic Kalash Valley faced an unexpected hurdle when she arrived in Ayun late at night and couldn’t find a taxi.

Ayun police station house officer Ataur Rahman came to the assistance of the woman and brought her to the police station.

She was privided food and accommodation for a night stay at the police station and the next morning was provided a taxi for her onward journey to Bumburate.

The Japanese tourist expressed her  appreciation for the kindness and support she received from the local police.

Last year, a female tourist from Japan was rescued by police after she got stranded near Dubash while returning to Chitral town from Bumburate valley.

Such gestures highlight the commitment of Chitral police to not only enforce the law but also offer genuine care to tourists, making them feel at home in Pakistan’s beautiful valleys.
