Enrollment drive launched in Lower Chitral
CHITRAL: The enrollment campaign for the new academic year was formally launched in Lower Chitral during a central ceremony held at the Government Centennial Model High School (GCMHS), Chitral.
The event was jointly inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral and the District Education Officer, marking the start of a coordinated effort to boost school enrollment and enhance access to quality education across the district.
As part of the campaign, a number of students were enrolled in various grades during the ceremony and were provided with free textbooks. The initiative aims to encourage parents to send their children to school, especially those who are out of school or at risk of dropping out.
To raise public awareness about the importance of education, a walk was also organized following the ceremony. Students, teachers, local officials, and members of the community participated in the walk, carrying banners and placards highlighting the transformative power of education for both individuals and society.
Speaking on the occasion, the officials emphasized the government’s commitment to improving education indicators in the region and urged all stakeholders to play their role in ensuring that every child is in school.
The event was attended by a large number of teachers, students, and community members, who expressed their support for the campaign and pledged to contribute to the promotion of education in Lower Chitral.
