BAHAWALPUR: A man allegedly murdered his father in the greed for claiming his insurance money in Bahawalpur.
According to police, in Yazman, a town in Bahawalpur district, the son took the life of his own father to claim the insurance money. Police said the suspect staged a robbery drama a week earlier during which he murdered his father, Ghulam Shabbir.
The suspect had called the police emergency number 15 to report a robbery and his father\’s murder. During the investigation, however, he confessed to shooting and killing his father.
The son and his accomplice have been arrested and further investigation is underway, said the police.
In a separate incident in Multan, a man also shot and killed his father. The police have arrested the suspect. The suspect told the police that his father used to argue and fight with his wife and often abused her.
