MASTUJ: A teenage boy, who went missing a few days ago in a village in Laspur valley of Upper Chitral, was found dead in a wooded area near his village, local people said on Wednesday.
They said that Shiraz Ahmed, son of Sher Muhammad, resident of Raman village, disappeared after leaving home on the night between February 25 and 26.
After search by his family and relatives did not find any clue to the missing boy, his father informed the police station about it. However, no trace was found.
At about 6pm on February 26, 2025, Shiraz\’s body was found in the forest near his home.
An official at the Mastuj police station told ChitralToday that the police were investigating the case from different angles. The dead body was sent to hospital for a postmortem to ascertain the cause of death.
