Markhor Polo Tournament begins in Chitral

CHITRAL: The Winds Eagle Markhor Polo Tournament Season One officially commenced at the historic Polo Ground in Chitral.
Commander Chitral Scouts Bilal Javed and President of the District Police Officer Lower Chitral Iftikhar Shah were chief guests while Deputy Commissioner Mohsin Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Adnan Haider Malooki, Tehsil Mayor Chitral Shahzada Amanur Rehman, DHO Dr Fiaz Ali Rumi and District Khateeb Maulana Khalilullah were also present.
Tehsil Mayor Chitral Shahzada Amanur Rehman threw the ball into the ground, marking the beginning of the polo matches. This is the first time a polo tournament of this magnitude is being held in Chitral with the final match scheduled to be played under artificial lights.
