Baba-e-Islamia College elected alumni body head again

PESHAWAR: Muhammad Zaman Khan, also known as Baba-e-Islamia College, has been elected unopposed as the president of the Senior Alumni Association of Islamia College Peshawar for the term 2024-26.
The election commission made the announcement during a meeting held at Islamia College on Thursday. Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr. Iftikhar Khan presided over the meeting.
According to the election commission, Dr. Jawad, the opposing candidate, withdrew his nomination in favor of Zaman Khan, submitting his withdrawal in written form.
Zaman Khan, who is completing his fourth term, expressed gratitude to Dr. Jawad for his withdrawal. He emphasized their shared commitment to working for Islamia College and acknowledged the pending issues in the college.
Zaman Khan vowed to address Islamia College-related matters and student concerns, leveraging the support of the administration. The newly-elected office-bearers will assume their roles on November 23, which will also feature the annual general body meeting.
