CHITRAL: Another suicide case has turned out to be a cold-blooded murder in the jurisdiction of Drosh police.
The police have arrested three persons on the charge of murdering a man and portraying it as a suicide. Two other suspects are also being probed in the case, a police spokesman told ChitralToday.
He said that on Aug 15, the wife of the deceased told police that her husband had committed suicide.
However, later, a cousin of the deceased man lodged a complaint with the police that Younus had been murdered.
The Chitral Lower police in a statement said that on the direction of District Police Officer Iftikhar Shah, an inquiry was launched into the death of Younus Khan at Rizandeh Dap Gol.
The police team led by SDPO Iqbal Karim and SHO Drosh Hyder Hussain investigated the case and found out that Younus had not committed suicide by had been murdered.
The police then took Anwar, Ghaniur Rehman and Amiruddin into custody who confessed to murdering Younus. The police also claimed to have recovered a gun used in the crime.
About a week ago, a man along with his mother and a brother had been arrested for killing his wife and informing police that she had committed suicide. The woman belonged to Chitral town and was married in Ayun.
