No entry for Afghan truckers without visa

PESHAWAR: The condition of visa has been imposed on drivers of trucks carrying goods from Aghanistan to cross border into Pakistan.

Officials said that with effect from August 1, 2024, no truck driver from Afghanistan would be allowed entry without having a valid visa for Pakistan.

They said that on the request of the Afghan authorities, the visa condition for the transporters had been relaxed from January 1 this year to July 31.  The process to issue visas to the drivers has been started, they said.
