Two road projects of Chitral referred to ECNEC

ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party has approved 17 projects worth billions of rupees and recommended nine projects to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for its consideration.

The approval was granted during a meeting of CDWP held in Islamabad with Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan in the chair.

The construction of Chakdara-Chitral road N-45 Section III Kalkatak Chitral worth Rs10,960.519 million and electrical and mechanical work on Lowari tunnel worth Rs37,257.410 million were recommended to ECNEC.

Two projects related to water resources sector were approved by the forum. These includef feasibility study of integrated development of Chitral, Swat and Kabul Rivers worth 1643.81.
