Shandur festival postponed

PESHAWAR: The Shandur festival 2024, which was scheduled to be held from June 28 to June 30 has been postponed due to inclement weather.

According to a notification issued by the Khyber Pakthunkhwa Culture and Tourism Department, the annual festival has been postponed till further orders. 

The festival was organized in the first and second week of July in the past but this year the date had been fixed for the last week of June.

The unusual rain recently turned the weather in Chitral cold with reports of snowfall on Shandur mountains. A large number of tourists were expected to attend the event.
