Babar Azam to lead cricket team again
LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its decision to make Babar Azam captain of the national cricket team again in T20s and One Day Internationals.
The PCB selection committee held a meeting yesterday and announced the decision to bring back Babar to lead the team in white ball format once again.
Babar was first made the T20 captain in 2019 before taking charge of the Test and ODI teams in 2020. He had announced to relinquish captaincy of all the three formats in November last year.
According to reports, the PCB removed all reservations of Shaheen Afridi about Babar after which it decided to appoint the former skipper as the captain of the national team again.
Reports also said that Babar Azam had expressed the desire to become captain of all the three formats but the PCB said it had not received any such request from him.
