Bank cashier arrested for killing customer in Parachinar

PARACHINAR: An employee of a bank has been arrested on the charge of murdering a customer who visited the bank to deposit a huge amount of cash and disappeared a few weeks ago, police said on Wednesday.

The police said the bank cashier was put behind bars after the dead body of the missing man was recovered from his house located in Spinkhel Banda area of Parachinar. According to the police, Muhammad Ibrahim had gone to the bank to deposit Rs5.7 million in his account a few days before Ramazan.

The bank employee took Ibrahim to his house on the pretext of giving him a Zakat exemption form and shot him dead there. Police said the bank cashier deposited the amount in his own account. Further investigation is underway.
