Probe ordered against contractor of Kosht bridge
BOONI: The district administration of Upper Chitral on Monday ordered an inquiry against the contractor of the Kosht RCC bridge for poor quality construction.
The inquiry was ordered against the contractor and other stakeholders by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Irfan during a visit to the bridge after receiving public complaints about its substandard construction.
Tehsil Chairman Sardar Hakuim and the executive engineer of communication and works (C&W) department Ziaur Rehman were also present. The bridge was opened for traffic a year ago.
It may be noted that an old bridge at the site was washed away in the 2015 floods. Later, construction of the RCC bridge started but it faced delays due to non-release of funds. During its construction part of the RCC bridge also collapsed. Since its opening, complaints have been filed with the district administration which ordered the probe.
nothing will happen after inquiry. this is all topi drama. take my words.
