Theater performances held in Chitral under SRSP project

PESHAWAR: Taraqee for Social Change performed 52 theater performances with the cooperation of UNICEF under a project of Sarhad Rural Support Program (SRSP).

This theater was based on the rights of children and their protection which has been presented in different schools and union councils of five districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Chitral Upper, Chitral Lower, Kohistan, Dera Ismail Khan and Tank, according to a press release.

The theater was watched by about 26,700 people, including school students, their parents, schoolteachers, university professors, lecturers, common people of community, staff members of Radio Pakistan Chitral, chairman of different union councils even in madrasas for the awareness of Qaris. All the viewers praised the script, forceful acting and the technique of theater.

The post-performance discussion served as a crucial platform to reinforce the impactful messages delivered through the theater performance.

Professor Zaka Ullah of Chitral University expressed his desire to perform this theater at the Chitral University Besides, chairman of many union councils and principals of many schools expressed their desire to perform this theater in their schools and union councils but we could not go beyond the schedule of SRSP.
