Ex-ZTBL officials from Chitral stage sit-in in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Retired officials of Zari Tarqiati Bank (ZTBL) from Chitral have staged a sit-in outside the bank’s headquarters in Zero Point Islamabad, demanding increase in their pension and allowances.

The participants of the sit-in included former managers and vice presidents of ZTBL Chitral Syed Nizar Shah, Syed Jamal Shah, Zafar Ali Khan, Muhammad Sharif, Ghayasuddin and Suhrabuddin.

The participants said that the ZTBL management had not increased their pension and allowances since 2017 while inflation kept rising during this period.

They called upon the government and the top management of the bank to increase their pension in accordance with the rising inflation.
