Poultry dealers found violating healthcare guidelines

CHITRAL: Poultry dealers in Arandu were warned that their shops would be sealed along with other legal action in case of further violations of healthcare guidelines.

A statement issued by the district administration of Lower Chitral on Wednesday said instead of selling live chicken poultry dealers in Arandu bazar were found stocking slaughtered chicks.

They were also found selling underweight chicks and involved in overpricing during a checking by tehsildar Drosh Shafiur Rehman and representatives of the traders association.

Besides, the poultry shops also lacked cleanliness.

The dealers were warned that they would be sent to jail besides sealing their outlets if they were found violating the guidelines in future.
