CHEPS holds environment awareness drive in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: A cleanliness drive and environment awareness seminar was held at the University of Peshawar under the auspices of Chitral Heritage and Environment Protection Society (CHEPS) and Chitral Students Association (CSA).
The cleanliness drive which started from the Department of Peace and Conflict, after covering all departments of the university, ended at Madina Market. It was attended by students and professionals from different walks of society.
At the end of the drive, CHEPS Chairman Rahmat Ali Jafardost briefed the audience about the importance of cleanliness and threats associated with pollution and its negative impacts on the environment and the phenomenon of climate change.
The Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Peshawar, Dr. Shahida Aman, and Professor Faiz shared their thoughts on the socio-political aspects of saving the environment as well as the role of students.
CSA President Khaleq Dad also shared his thoughts and thanked all those who took part in the awareness campaign.
