Inter-university games start in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Inter-University Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games eith 3,000 athletes from 30 public universities taling part in three female and as many male games got underway at Peshawar Sports Complex on Wednesday.

KP Sports Minister Muhammad Atif Khan was the chief guest who formally inaugurated the games along with Minister for Social Welfare Anwar Zeb, Special Assistant to CM Wazirzada, MPA Aysha Bano, and Secretary Higher Education Dawood Khan.

Cricket, volleyball, football and badminton competitions will be held in the six-day sports competition. Teams fron University of Chitral are also participating in the competitions.

Meanwhile, the University of Chitral won the volleyball match against the University of Karak.
