Chitrali woman missing in Peshawar

CHITRAL: A Chitrali woman married to a man in Peshawar has reportedly gone missing.

According to locals, Fazila Bibi, daughter of Hakim Khan of Brozgol, was married to Abdul Rehman of Shabqadar in Peshawar. 

Two days back, Rehman reached Chitral along with his children and told the parents of Fazila that she had disappeared from his home. 

The parents of the woman reported the matter to the police after which Rehman was called to the police station and later allowed to go.

The parents of the woman suspected that Rehman has murdered his wife and was staging a drama. They urged the police to arrest and interrogate him.

It may be noted that in September this year, a woman from the Kalash valley of Chitral was allegedly murdered by her husband in Peshawar.

The poluce later registered a murder case against the suspect after rights activists staged a protest.–Syed Nazir Hussain Shah
