26 bags of wheat confiscated in Drosh bazar

DROSH: Additional Assistant Commissioner Drosh Kabir Khan confiscated 26 bags of government wheat from a private sale point in Drosh bazar.

Talking to the media, Kabir Khan said that on Thursday evening he received information about the matter and on the directions of DC Chitral Lower Anwarul Haq initiated the the action.

He said the 26 bags of wheat were loaded on a pick-up from a government godown of Drosh and were to be transported to Ursoon valley. But the vehicle unloaded the stuff in the Drosh bazar.

Officials of the food department, who were present on the occasion, said that on Thursday three vehicles were loaded for Ursoon, and two had already reached the valley.

On initial questioning, the driver and watchman of the Ursoon godown said the vehicle had met some technical fault and therefore they parked it in Drosh and unloaded the stuff.

However, AAC Khan was not convinced by the claim. He said no one will be allowed to misuse the facility being provided to local people.

He sealed the godown and asked the police for further necessary actions.
