Garam Chashma road reopened

CHITRAL: The Garam Chashma road, which was blocked at numerous points during the recent rains and flash floods, has been reopened after removal of the debris.

The National Highway Authority (NHA) used machinery and labourers to open the road which was blocked at Shoghore, Bilphok, Kenisgar, Shali Gol, Balach and near Chitral airport.

Moreover, the main Chitral-Peshawar road was also blocked at Bakrabad and Chumarkhon. The road to the Govt Degree College for Girls at Denin was also blocked at Shadok. 

Bashir Ahmed, a government contractor, told ChitralToday correspondent that after the closure of the road he was directed by the NHA to work day and night to remove the debris and mud and reopen the road.
