Women’s dead body recovered from river

BOONI: The dead body of a woman was recovered from the river in Laspur valley of Upper Chitral, Rescue 1122 said on Saturday.

It said after being alerted about the body, rescue team reached the area and recovered the body from the Laspur river at Harchin.

The emergency service said the woman had committed suicide.

Sources in the area said the woman was married and committed suicide due to domestic issues.

It may be noted that the flooding in different nullahs of Laspur on July 3, a woman went missing. Later, her dead body was recovered by local people.
