Two siblings drown in Shishi Koh river

DROSH: Two siblings aged eight and 12 years drowned in the Shishi Koh river in Lower Chitral while going to school on Thursday, local people told ChitralToday.

According to former union council nazim Sher Muhammad, the daughter and son of Sher Alam, a resident of Lavi village, were going to school when they dell off a wooden bridge over the river. He identified the deceased as Salman, 8, and Shazia Bibi, 12.

The bodies of the two siblings were recovered near the dam of the under-construction Lavi powerhouse and later laid to rest.–GH Farooqui
