Chitral Football League 2022 inaugurated in Drosh

DROSH: Chitral Football League, which the organizers declared Pakistan’s biggest, was inaugurated at Col. Murad Stadium in Drosh on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral Anwarul Haq opened the national level event at a ceremony. The event has been organized by Ideal Club Drosh in collaboration with the district administration, Chitral Scouts, police and the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Drosh. 

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the event is an endeavour to promote the soft image of Chitral. He welcomed the participating teams.

He said DC healthy events are crucial in building a healthy society. He narrated various steps the district administration was taking for the promotion of sports and tourism and youth empowerment. 

Chitral Football League was started in 2021 and this year in its second phase 19 teams are participating in the event. They include Pakistan Army, Afghan TV, teams from Balochistan, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Peshawar, Mardan, Upper and Lower Chitral.
