Chitrali trader murdered in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A gemstone trader from Chitral was shot dead in Peshawar late on Friday night.

Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, a native of Ayun Lower Chitral, was returning home when an armed man shot him in the head from behind.

The incident occurred in the limits of Shah Qabool police, according to a civil society organization, Tehreek Tahafuz Huqooq-e-Chitral. 

On Saturday, a large number of people from Chitral held a protest demonstration and blocked the main road at Wazir Bagh by putting the dead body there.

The protesters condemned the murder and demanded immediate arrest of the killer.
