Teenage boy commits suicide by jumping into river

YARKHUN: A teenage boy committed suicide by jumping into the Yarkhun river in front of Meragram No 2 on Thursday afternoon.

Local people told ChitralToday that Janbaz Khan, 17, son of Sher Bahadar, jumped into the river from a bridge after leaving his mobile phone on the bridge.

He was a student of class 10th. The locals said the cause of the extreme step by the boy could not be ascertained.

The body was recovered from the river in front of Dewangol village. Police handed over the body to his heirs after a postmortem today.
