CHITRAL: Creative Approach for Development (CAD) and Pak Aid, a Lahore-based NGO, distributed rations among 100 people in Chitral town.
The items were distributed among orphans, widows and prayer leaders of mosques. Assistant Commissioner Chitral Saqalain Saleem was chief guest on the occasion.
CAD Chairman Shahzada Mudassirul Mulk said 30 orphans are staying in a hostel. These children are taught basic modern education as well as religious sciences and regular arrangements have been made for their prayers, recitation and reading.
The AC appreciated the services of CAD and said since the government agencies had very limited resources, NGOs are working side by side the government to help the needy people.–GH Farooqui
