Canadian high commissioner visits Booni

BOONI: Canadian High Commissioner Wendly Gilmour visited the Environment Academy Booni on Thursday.

The high commissioner was briefed by chief executive officer of the academy Asif Murad about activities of the academy to promote sports among the youth.

A painting competition among students on cutting of forests and its impact on environment was also organized on the occasion.

The high commissioner appreciated the activities of the academy and later joined its students to play an ice hockey match. The team from the academy recently took part in a ice hockey tournament in Hunza.–Sarfaraz Shahid
