Chitrali woman killed along with minor daughter in Punjab

CHINIOT: A 24-year-old woman from Chitral married to a man in Chiniot Punjab has been killed along with her seven-month-old daughter allegedly by her husband.

The Chitrali woman identified as Nazia was the third wife of the alleged killer, Ejaz, 45. He had killed the first wife while the second took divorce after being tortured on a daily basis by him. 

“He murdered his first wife by electrocuting her,” the locals alleged, besides claiming that the second spouse was lucky enough to escape a similar fate after she got a divorce from him after being tortured on a daily basis. 

Police while confirming the incident said that Ejaz murdered his spouse and a seven-month-old daughter within the remits of the City police in Chiniot.

“We have recovered the tool used in the murder and registered a case against him,” they said, adding that a thorough investigation would also be made in the allegations levelled against him for killing his first wife and torturing the second one.
